Thank you for visiting the Troop 160 webpage

Boy Scout Troop 160  is Chartered by both the American Legion Post 276.  Our meetings are held on Mondays at Cary United Methodist Church.  We go on 1 campout a month and during the summer, we attend 2 summer camps, and have at least 1 High Adventure Trek.  In 2009, we celebrated our 75th anniversary as a Troop in Cary.

Summer Camp Info

Don't forget that Summer Camp Payment of $300 is due before May 8, Please sign up on website as well as bringing  signed Troop Campout pemission form with payment.  Review the Summer Camp e- mail previously sent by Dan Rank and select 3- 5 merit badges to work on. First Year Scouts will be concentrating on Rank Advancement via the Eagle Oasis program which does not need advanced signup.  I am going to schedule a Summer Camp Meeting on May 15th at 6:15pm before the normal Troop meeting  to address any questions with merit badges/what to pack/overall timing.

Eagle Court of Honor

On Sunday we will be having a special Eagle Court of Honor for Patrick Brownell, Alex Feliciano, Andrew Sytsma, and Alex Rogers  These scouts are the 106,107,108, and 109 Eagle Scouts from Troop 160.  The Eagle Ceremony will be held at the church followed by refreshments.  All Scouts and Families are invited to attend not only to celebrate these 4 scouts but also to inspire others on the path to Eagle.

Napowan Summer Camp

Payments are being accepted for Napowan Summer Camp.  Bring your payment ($300) along with permission slip into the Troop Meeting.  Once Payment is received, will be able to set up Scout for Merit Badge Selection.

Campout Registration

You can now register for campouts on the website.  Parents please help out the leaders by signing up for campouts as well, we always need drivers and extra adults to help out.
