Thank you for visiting the Troop 160 webpage

Boy Scout Troop 160  is Chartered by both the American Legion Post 276.  Our meetings are held on Mondays at Cary United Methodist Church.  We go on 1 campout a month and during the summer, we attend 2 summer camps, and have at least 1 High Adventure Trek.  In 2009, we celebrated our 75th anniversary as a Troop in Cary.

Napowan Summer Camp

Payments are being accepted for Napowan Summer Camp.  Bring your payment ($300) along with permission slip into the Troop Meeting.  Once Payment is received, will be able to set up Scout for Merit Badge Selection.

This month the Kishwaukee OA Chapter meeting is at Veteran Acres in Crystal Lake. Mini Golf venues are not open yet for us to meet. See the Troop Calendar for more info.

Service Hours- Help with Three Oaks School Fun Fair April 21

The Three Oaks Elementary School is holding it's Fun Fair on Friday April 21 from 5:30PM-8PM.  They are looking for Jr. High and High School students to help with the games in each classroom.  Below is a signup link if you are interested.   In order to receive service hours, you must bring along a Service Hour Record Sheet and have a adult superviser sign it.  This sheet can be downloaded from the Files section on the left hand side of the Troop website.

Starved Rock Campout

Final date for Starved Rock Campout signup is  Monday April 17 BEFORE the meeting.   If you would like to go, please register  on the website or if you are having issues registering, contact Dan Rank at dtrank@sbcglobal.net.  We need final headcounts in order to finalize the campout planning at the Troop meeting.

You can now register for campouts on the website.  Parents please help out the leaders by signing up for campouts as well, we always need drivers and extra adults to help out.
